Global Goodness
I feel like every step I take here, I am getting closer and closer to exactly where I want to be. Today, I got there. I am volunteering with a nonprofit called Global Goodness. My work took me to a beach in Jamestown, full of street children. It was amazing to see how much love each child is filled with.
I talked to them and played with them. They taught me songs, and I sang them back to them as they laughed. Then I taught them a game that my mom used to play with me when I was little. They loved it as much as I did.
Sitting in the sand, with the ocean in front of me, the Jamestown lighthouse behind me, children on my lap and holding my hands, and so much love all around me, I felt at home. I felt so connected to every experience and every person, living or dead, that brought me to that moment.
